June Onna Beat is one of the most quickly climbing producers in the industry. Responsible from cultivating his own sound behind his Mozzy brothers, "Tomorrow Aint Promised" is his most recent follow up album since "No Love Lost 2". With over 16-tracks, June does all the production, verses, and hooks with the help of Nef the Pharaoh, D-Lo, Lil Blood, Slim400, along with Mozzy, E Mozzy, Cellyru, and Mozzy Twin. Some of our favorite cuts off the project is "Reup after Reup", ft Mozzy and E Mozzy, "Spunky Outside" featuring D-Lo, and of course "Live Fast" featuring Sick Wid It's newest signee Nef The Pharoah, who confesses life goes fast living the fast life, a real anthem for those who can say that "Tomorrow Aint promised".
Hus Mozzy embodies his hustle in his latest release "Hustle God". He shows his progression as a rapper in "Raise The Bar", featuring Mozzy and E Mozzy. In the song they all reminence on people saying they would'nt make it far. Another hot song "Everyday", featuring Skeme and Lil Yase shows you Hus Mozzy's mentality of his tribute to hustling everyday to get that MOZZY. Hustle God the album is made of 11 tracks featuring Mozzy, Joe Blow, E Mozzy, Lil Yase, Maserati Rick and more. You can purchase it online on RapBay, iTunes or Amazon. This is Hus Mozzy's most recent release since "Mozzy is the Motive". Make sure to also follow the clothing brand, called Mozzy Clothing.
Mandatory Check is by far the most commerically promoted and sounding project released by Mozzy so far in his career. The album has 18 tracks of fire, and boasts big name features like Rich Homie Quan, IAMSU, The Jacka, Lil Blood, JuneOnnaBeat, Lil Goofy, E Mozzy, and many more. Two powerful tracks in the album are "Round and Round", which features Rich Homie Quan, IAMSU, and Lil Blood, and is his current radio single. Another really awesome track is "All Day", which features Lex Aura, The Jacka, and Tone Colon, who also can be seen in this issue of All Bay Music. Definately dont miss out, Mozzy means Mandatory Check!
This album is a slept on Oakland Classic, and it has all the bells and whistles of a Oakland classic. Not only was the album presented by Oakland Godfather Too Short, but it boasts an all star appearance of artists like Too Short, E-40, Gunplay, Clyde Carson, Stalin, B-Legit, Glasses Malone, Jay Rock, 211, K-Boy, Shady Nate, Stevie Joe, Black C, Mitchy Slick, Laroo, 4rAx, Sir Yuro, and many more. Recently Beeda Weeda shot his visual for "Revolution", which was boasted by Vibe.com and many other nationwide blogs. Beeda has also been recieving a lot of attention for shooting many visuals this summer off the album like "Welcome to Oakland", "Keep Yo Head Up", as well as launching his Summer 2016 Bass Rock Babies Tour.
Philthy Rich went from rap newcomer, to a West coast icon in little time. Since the start, Philthy has embodied his raps and his lifestyle every step of the way. This album is no doubt his best work to date, he has spared no expense in working with A-List producers from Atlanta like Zaytoven, 808 Mafia, to local producers like AK47. This album boasts his major radio hit single "Make a Livin" featuring IAMSU, which has remained the hottest song of the summer. This album has set a mark in the industry as not only making Philthy the hottest rap newcomer carrying weight, but rumors are circulating that major record companies like MMG and Rich Gang want to sign him. Philthy Rich has set a mark in Bay Area history being one of the hardest working street MC's we have seen today. Salute!
Lil Blood has remained one of the most argued favorites of the Livewire artist roster. Since the rapidly growing pace of Livewire Records, Lil Blood has progressed with his often violent street gospel, and business. Not only has his following grown tremendously, but he has grown his own following from his 3rd World Mob movement, carried by 3rd World mob affilaites Boo Banga and Lil Goofy. This album boasts 14 tracks produced entirely by June Onna Beat and DJ Fresh. Our favorite song on the album is "All Year" featuring Mozzy, Lil Purp, and Boo Banga. Another song that gives us chills is "Break Um Off", Lil Blood brings his enemies and female companions to their knees, breakin off everyone in sight! Lil Blood goes no holds barred in showing you the mind of a street savage, and true 80's baby from Oakland.
The Mekanix have become a backbone to the Bay Area sound you hear out today. They have started ground up working with J Stalin, and the Livewire imprint, along with over a dozen influential MCs ranging from Keak Da Sneak, Jacka, Husalah, Beeda Weeda, and the list keeps going. This album has been one of the hottest releases of the summer. One of our favorite cuts on the album is the hyphy centric "Cruisin and Mobbin" featuring Husalah, Turf Talk, and Keak Da Sneak. The video is pure entertainment, and all of the artists go dumb in the video. Another track on the album thats pure fire is Philthy Rich and Mozzy's "Abandonment", which bleeds out some deep street gospel, and the soulful melodic production cooked by the Mekanix brings in quickly into a zone. West Coast Classic, mandatory snatch!
The west coast has a new rap frontgunner, Las Vegas rap artist Yowda. Yowda is newly signed to Rick Ross's Maybach Music. His most recent single he was featured on Philthy Rich's Wing Stop Remix, which features Rick Ross. 6 Zips is a nice introduction to the mentality of Las Vegas most respected MC. Yowda is all money and politics on the track and spills game on every 16 bar with conviction. His mixtape he is gasing industry beats, you might not play Panda any more after you hear his declaration to the rap game, making it clear he was in a Phantom before meeting Maybach boss Rick Ross. In Summer 16 remix he makes a statement to the rappers in the industry about the fake moves being made by fake rappers, and he makes it clear to whoever is hearing this that he wont tolerate any funny business. Yowda brings 6 zips/tracks of pure fire. Watch out!
