iStandard Producers Beat Camp

Expressions College, Emeryville · by Don P & European Ian

The iStandard Producers conference is a two-day event held for music producers nationwide in many key cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. It was just recently held at Expressions College in Emeryville, Ca. A Bay Area institution known for its fast track education process for young and ambitious musicians and artist of all kinds. Our magazine and website AllBayMusic.com was a sponsor in there local event "Beat Camp".

As I arrive in the parking lot, I see a veteran producer named Cozmo. His production credits include Berner, Wiz Khalifa, and a list of the Bay Area's top tier talent. I also saw Klypso, another producer here in the bay with production credits that extend all the way down to Southern California at Dr. Dre's Aftermath label. Seeing these guys let me know. This is about to get real.

Inside they had plenty of swag and give-aways. I especially liked the cool 16 gig usb's!! They also had some crazy folding sun glasses that were pretty tight too! Making my way through this humungous school, I can hear the panel is just beginning.

Just in time! Our All Bay Music lead producer @itsLivingProof is just about to speak as I enter the room. He gives me a big shout out as I make my way to my seat.

The panel was filled with a group of talented individuals including EA-Ski, who has produced hits for Ice Cube, Dr Dre, among others. Also in the building we had Mob Figaz producer Rob Lo, and countless others. They spoke on how to get more exposure, how to get more music placements, and how to network and put your brand out there by using marketing tools like the many social media outlets available today for free!

There was demonstrations on different beat making tools for producers who are looking to step their game up. iStandard Producers conference was a very informative place to be for a producer, or any musician looking to stay locked in with the new technology.

They also had a "Beat Camp" beat competition where producers like All Bay Music producer @CodieneKozy was given a chance to play 3 of his best beats, and be judged by the "Beat Camp" audience.
