Thug Misses just dropped the video to her single “Ridah,” which features Rayven Justice. This track comes off of her album, “Queen of the Bay,” which she dropped in August. Produced by E-A-Ski, this track is a real banger! Between the dope visuals, directed by Jae Synth, the smooth, West Coast club type beat from E-A-Ski, and the vocals from Rayven Justice, Thug Misses couldn’t have put together a hotter track! “Ridah” is now one of my all time favorites in my playlist.
In a male dominant industry where female artists feel as though they have to heavily flaunt sex appeal, Thug Misses is a breath of fresh air! This beautiful Black and Latina artist shows off her lyrical talents while staying modestly dressed, and not feeling the need to show off her ass or rap about her “WAP,” compared to other female artists in hip hop. This only adds to her appeal as she is one artist who’s music I would easily let my nieces listen to, which is extremely hard to find with female hip hop artists today.
Rayven Justice adds his smooth vocals to this track, bringing a fun and catchy hook to vibe with. His presence is one of admiration as he clearly uplifts Thug Misses throughout the song, calling her an “independent baddie.” The lyrics are an anthem to every independent, bossed up female who gets their own money no matter what they go through. This track is everything and more and we love all the dope vibes it gives off! Queen of the Bay is right!
