Bay Area artist Mr. Hyde comes with a clear message about police brutality and lyrically empowers the listener about all the issues the black community is faced with, and shares his experience growing up dealing with systematic racism and oppression.
The artist left a statement in regards to this record he states, “The real N word is this song about the people like me who has always suffered Injustice and racial stereotype since I was born. It starts all the way in elementary. And then when you grow up you have a bigger chance of being killed by the cops if you a person of color. Much like in the 60s, we need music to go along with the cause we’re fighting for.”
