ABM What inspired your stage name?
IAMSION: My singer name is @iamsion. The story behind my name is I’m very confident in who I am & a lot of people used to confuse my name so I said let me tell them how it’s pronounced along with my music !!
ABM: When did you start making music and what led you to becoming a musician?
IAMSION: What led me to being a musician I always had a passion for singing… so one day I was in high school and I met a friend named Dante and he sang as well. He really encouraged me to do a song with him and ever since I fell in love with music. My mom was also a singer.
ABM: How did your upbringing influence your career?
IAMSION: I am from Oakland, California and growing up in Oakland was very tough and rough. It was a lot of poverty going on & It was very expensive so you’d have to have at least 2 jobs and having a single dad raise you was a challenge but also a blessing because he taught me how to survive!
ABM: What do you typically make music about?
IAMSION: I typically sing about love and fun, and just having a good time overall. I feel like a lot of people can relate!
ABM: What is your latest body of work?
IAMSION: My last few releases you can check out is “Sleeping on me” and “I Know” featuring Tecomer.
ABM: What is your style of music?
IAMSION: Currently, I am working on different types of music .. a Spanish song, a chill song and a hyped up song, also a new release called “Hypnotized”, a super dope song with a visual dropping in a week! I want to do different styles so I can bring in crowds from everywhere!
ABM: Do you have any music visuals out right now?
IAMSION: My last visual release was called “Sleeping on Me”, and it was about being loyal to someone and they can still mess around regardless of the situation, so you have to always be on 10 toes!
ABM: What is the goal at the end of your career?
IAMSION: My ultimate goal at the end of my career is to have a long lasting name in the music industry, and to have people look up to me to when they hear my music. I also want to get paid for shows and to be on tour.
