Bay area rapper Blanco is on a roll. Last month he released a collaborative mixtape Raw with Nipsey Hussle, a project that was produced entirely by Cookin Soul. The tape has earned strong reviews, and already Blanco is back on the move with a new project, Game Over, another collaborative effort with fellow Bay rapper The Jacka and producer Bedrock. Today, he’s releasing “Punch Out,” the latest single from from that Game Over project
“Hey Blanco, let’s get into some gangsta shit.” On “Punch Out,” featured by emcee Trae Tha Truth sets the tone early. The Houston OG jumps on the growling, echoing instrumental with an assured, steady flow as he takes his spot at the top of the totem pole. Blanco delivers his West Coast-influenced swagger and takes the listener even farther in his last line, boasting “Put the bread in this account number just before I leave/Feds lookin’ for me now but I’m in the Philippines.”
