Boo Banga has been a solid act to come out of San Francisco, and a leader among his peers in the rap scene being featured on albums with San Quinn, and Messy Marv to name a few. He also has been on numerous other CD's and collaborative projects in the Bay Area, even landing on MTV Jams for his "SF Anthem" single, produced by Traxamillion. Enjoy the read!

ABM- So how'd you get your name Boo Banga?

BOOBANGA - I got my name from trying to make a honest living on the block, I know its cliche', but you know I was always Boo, even my mom calls me Boo, but when I started getting into certain things, the streets kinda put Banga at the end of that. So it was kind of history from there, its really my street name, brought into the rap game. My streets named me!

ABM- Where you from

BOOBANGA - I'm from the Frisco, California, Hunters Point, the Flatlands, around those parts.

ABM- What are some of the experiences you have growing up there?

BOOBANGA - Really a lot of trials and tribulations… traumatizing events really, nothing to glorify, still an experience…but, seeing a lot of my close friends die right in front of me…not to over hype it, theres a lot of people who are talented who didn't make it where I'm from, thats all I can say.

ABM- Ok, so on to the music side of you'r life, what are you currently working on?

BOOBANGA - I got a mixture of things I'm cooking up, I really just touched down, I'm fresh out thats why the new project I am working on is called "Hood Vacation" the Mixtape. People ask where have i been i reply i was on a hood vacation. I'm going to give it away as a street warmer, keep the streets lit. I also got a lot of work in the vault, I really am just getting my business in order. Shout out Lil Blood from livewire we got a mixtape coming thats about to have the streets going crazy. And we rocking beyond rap so for you cornballs you got problems with Blood then Banga slidin straight up. Me and Tay Assassin got the "No Permission" series online, also my business partner John and I got a album in the vault, got a slew of big names like Daz and Kurupt, The Jacka, a bunch more, just looking for the right alleyways to drop the album, but for now I'm gonna focus on giving away the "Hood Vacation" mixtape's in thru the summer.

ABM- Whats some of the big accomplishments you've had in your career?

BOOBANGA - Well I had the SF anthem song, with Big Rich, Traxamillion, San Quinn, and Suryil, which landed on MTV Jams. I had a lot opportunities with that, we performed at the ozone awards, toured with B.O.B out in Atlanta, we got to go on E40's Wake it Up tour. I got a opportunity to work with Daz and Kurupt, E40, The Jacka, I've pretty much rubbed elbows with everyone in the Bay Area.

ABM- What influences you to go forward.

BOOBANGA - My mom, I lost my mom, and that was a touch fall for me, but Ive had to learn to dust myself off and keep going, but I'm a momma's boy, and I do it for her, she gives me a lot of strength cause she believed in me and the love I get in the streets and support from fans keeps me pushin.

ABM- Any last words?

BOOBANGA - Man stay in touch, stay supporting, I'll be coming, check me out, special thanks to all my fans who've been supporting me since day one. Shout out to everyone real, and shout out to hunters point last and least. Thanks for putting me on.
