ABM: Whats Your Name? Howd you get your rap name?

AP9: AP9 of the Mob Figaz....I been a Rapper since 1994, but I got my break in 1997 with C-Bo, when the Mob Figaz was featured on his album "Till My Casket Drops".

ABM: What made you pursue a career in music?

AP9: I felt I was good at it, and I wanted to get some of that rap money that rappers was getting at the time!! I was in and out of jail for thuggin' it in the streets, so rapping gave me the opportunity to get away from the bullshit, get out of the hood and see the world!!

ABM: Tell us some of the artists you've either done music with, or did shows with?

AP9: I've worked with C-Bo, Spice 1, Method Man, Wu Tang, E-40, MobFigaz, Kurupt, Eastwood. I've done shows with Rob Base, E40, almost every Bay Area Rapper, and many others!!

ABM: Who's inspired you musically?

AP9: Nobody inspired me really to do music, but I respected a lot of artists like 2Pac, C-Bo, Biggie, Jadakiss, Mac Dre, The Mob Figaz. It was just a hobby from the beginning, until I started getting them fat checks, and then I took it more serious!

ABM: What type of style/sound influences your production?

AP9: I do music for the streets...street, hood, ghetto, reality music. I never had a song on the radio in my life, so the radio didn't make me! My music is for the people thats in the struggle and out here doing what they have to do to survive, and take care of they families. The shit I been through is what influences me.

ABM: What you been working on lately?

AP9: I been focusing on our new MobFigaz album right now! Also me and Rydah J Klyde got a collaboration album coming out too. I also been working on building up my label Mob Shop Ent. and working with my artists on the label, setting up for there releases!

ABM: We heard there's gonna be a new Mob Figaz Album coming, can you tell us anything about the project, features, producers, whens it dropping?

AP9: Yea it's gonna be crazy!! We the truth, and it's going to take us to put the Bay Area where it's supposed to be! The Mob Figaz album should be out by the summer. I don't wanna talk about features producers right now cause we want it to be a suprise, and then when it drops, WOW! Were still working on it as we speak, and it's coming out crazy!! Just be prepared to hear another classic Mob Figaz album...back to back slapps!!

ABM: Tell us one crazy thing that happened in you're life?

AP9: I took 12 bullets, and spent 6 months in the hospital!!

ABM: Whats it gonna take for the Bay Area to be back on?

AP9: Unity!!! We gotta help each other out, and not hate on one another!! We really havent been off, its just that these major labels is over looking us.

ABM: If you could have anything in the world, what would it be?

AP9: I would wanna be a young black billionaire, and make sure my kids are set for life so when I'm gone they wont have to struggle like I did!

ABM: Last words?
