Peezy

Peezy is a producer/artist out of the East Bay Area. Recently he
released a single titled “Drought”, which features heavyweights
Turf Talk and Gucci Mane.

INTERVIEW BY @EUROPEANIAN

BM: What is your Rap name? Tell us the story behind your rap name. Peezy: They used to call me and my older broth-
cer JesseJ Peezy cause of the letters in our initials. It was a slang nickname for us both since teenagers. My brother fom
the streets Young Robbery also thought it was a good idea, and it stuck. I then later changed my name to ‘Tha Real
Peezy to make a name, and show I was more serious. ABM: What got you involved in the hip hop scene? Peezy: To tell
you the truth I got myself involved. My passion since a child was sports and music. I just didn't know how much music ment to me
till ost my chance in athletics. A few friends would encourage me but I wanted to music before anyone wanted it for me. ABM:
Who and what inspires you as an artist? Peezy: Tupac is my biggest inspiration also Mac Dre... These 2 artists I grew up on along
with Snoop Dog, E40, Messy Mary, Too Short and Dre Dog, I also liked listening to RnB and oldies a lot as a child, it made me

wanna sing or rap the lyrics. My mom even used to listen to country so that had to influence me, ABM: What what your last release

ABM: What are you currently working on? Peezy: You can look out for my Ep coming soon Titled "Not melodic album
that shows a newer futuristic and musical side of Peezy: I get to have a lil more fun on this one and itis one of my favorites actually. I
also have a mix led "Amped Up" the sequel to my mixtape I dropped with DJ Carisma out of LA a few years bac!
