Dr. Dre had a major release this Friday, releasing his new project, “Compton”. He hasn’t released an album since 1999, when he released “2001”, that sold 516,000 copies. He hasn’t been on a track since Eminem’s “I Need A Doctor” that was released in 2011. We thought he could be done, after being so successful with other business ventures, but Dre shows us he’s passionate about the music and it’s not about the money. His project, titled “Compton” consists of 16 tracks with features from Kendrick, Game, Snoop, Eminem, Jon Connor, King Mez, and Justus, Candice Pillay, BJ the Chicago Kid, Anderson Paak, Asia Bryant, Jill Scott, and Marsha Ambrosius.
He is predicted to land somewhere at 1 or 2 on the billboards if everything goes as planned. The project is aired on the Apple Music page and is also available on iTunes. The Album will be used in the sound track to “Straight Outta Compton” movie. People started memeing the “Straight Out Of Compton” promotion that snap chat provided for the new movie and this also helped market Dr. Dre’s new album. We”ll see if Dr. Dre can pull off the top spot. Check it out below,
