ABM: What is your Rap name? Tell us the story behind your hip-hop name?
Preacha: My Dad’s name is Big Preach, so I inherited the name “Preach”.
ABM: Has anything happened in your life that led to the decision of becoming a musician?
Preacha: I’ve been rapping for as long as I can remember. It’s something I always knew I wanted to do and just so happens I’m dope at it.
ABM: How did you get your start in the hip hop scene?
Preacha: When I was 14, me and a couple of my niggas got a group together and started recording and doing shows. It’s been on ever since.
ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?
Preacha: I’m from Yuba City, Ca., a small town just north of Sac.
ABM: What do you typically rap about?
Preacha: Bitches… I love rappin about women. I love women PERIOD. I’ve been through a lot of shit wit women, so i got a lot to talk about. Besides that, I like to touch on jus being real to myself and not falling victim to the fake shit. Sometimes I feel like Imma Preacha… but on some hood shit.
ABM: What are your last full length releases people can go check out right now?
Preacha: ”Real” is the newest release we got out on YouTube. So everyone make sure to run those views up!
ABM: What are you currently working on?
Preacha : I’m workin on2 projects right now. My mix tape “Thinking Out Loud’ and my debut album ‘Sunday Service”.
ABM: Whats your last visual release people can check out, tell us about it.
Preacha: ”Real” is a song about me persuading a good girl to drop her punk ass man to ride wit me. We jus dropped a live band performance version of the song . The video go crazy! So we have 2 videos for the song “Real”.
ABM: What is your ultimate goal at the end of your career?
Preacha: My ultimate goal is to create my own lane that people know me for and spread it across the world… I want people to hear a beat or a song and think to theyself, “This sound like somethin Preach would be on”.
