As the Hip Hop world is always searching for whats next, it is within pure sight that San Francisco Double Rock Projects newest artist “Layy”, surely has what it takes to be Bay Area’s next shining star.
From the first official music release “My Brothers Keeper”, Layy cemented his status as SF’s next to blow, garnering a quick 100k plays on the Young Kez directed video, released via Proxclusiv.
Since then he has received an array of accolades from fans, local hip hop websites Thizzler, All Bay Music Magazine, Bay Area Compass, 24HourHipHop, and many others.
If that doesn’t convince you, Layy’s latest video drop “Way I’m Livin” was just recently released via Empire, and the visual release distributed via Empire’s YouTube Channel.
With a huge industry co-sign from Ghazi Shami, and his Empire Distribution, and Layy approaching over half a million plays between Soundcloud and YouTube, its safe to say this won’t be last we hear from the 19 year old emcee.
