For those of you who didn’t watch the game yesterday evening, the Warriors lost, and by that, I mean the we lost. As fans, we like to include ourselves in the achievements of our favorite sports teams and its players. So when our favorite teams lose and our favorite players become questionable for suspension, we lose and we become questionable for suspension.
Draymond Green had tried to shoot a 2 but had jumped in a way that made it seem like he purposely injured an opposing player, Steve Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. He kicked Adams in the groin, which was hilarious to fans, but devastating at the same time. Green’s foul was upgraded from a flagrant foul 1 to a flagrant foul 2, with a $25,000 fine attached, but the league has decided not to issue a suspension, thank goodness.
Green has 3 flagrant fouls so far, which means one more results in an automatic suspension. NBA Official Scott Foster believes that Green’s contact was incidental.
Game 4 is tomorrow and we’ll be seeing Money Green on the court. Good luck to our Warriors, let’s even out that score.
