R&B singer-songwriter, dancer, actress and former model Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, who is better known in the music world by her mononym Tinashe, has treated her single “Party Favors” to the official visual.
“Party Favors” is the first promotional single to come out of the new album by Tinasheand has the collaboration of rapper Young Thug. The song was penned by the singer in collaboration with Allen Ritter, Anderson Hernandez, Matthew Samuels, Carlo Montagnese and Jeffrey Lamar Williams. Check out below
Born 22 years ago, the name of this Los Angeles-based artist means “We are with God” in the Shona language, her Zimbabwean father’s tongue, which she speaks fluently by the way. She studied in high school for a year before deciding to chase a music career full-time. But even before that, she had already studied ballet, tap, and jazz dancing at the tender age of 4, and continued to compete in various styles as a part of a dance company until she was 18.
During her earlier days in her music career, around 2007, Tinashe together with some friends joined the girl group The Stunners, an act that was created by American pop music singer, songwriter, and record producer Vitamin C, which was signed to Columbia Records. The group split in 2011 and Tinashe was set to embark on a solo career.
She is currently in the studio putting together a forthcoming studio project, her second album which is entitled Joyride, one that’s scheduled for liberation next year via RCA Records although the actual release date has not been revealed yet. The LP is the follow-up to her highly-acclaimed debut release Aquarius.
