Master P‘s new album, The Gift, will be using a new marketing technique that will also double as a donation. Master P’s new album will have golden raffle tickets inside that will allow a lucky few to win 10,000 dollars. Master P hopes that this will allow the less fortunate to get some extra cash around christmas time so they can buy their family and friends gifts. The album is being released on December 6th and the prize money winner will be announced on December 23rd, just in time for christmas.
Master P expressed his view on the donations in an interview with AllHipHop, “I will be able to use my gift of music to help give back to underprivileged kids in many communities”. On top of the promotional tactic to get all of us to go out and buy his album for the hopes of getting that cash prize, Master P is also sponsoring toy drives from his album sales and hopes that more hip hop artists will take his lead in giving back to the underprivileged kids more.
The cover art has been released and stays with the gold gift theme. The track list and features should be released in the next months approaching the release.
