Riley Cooper, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, was recently fined for a racist rant at a Kenny Chesney concert. Cooper was allegedly denied backstage access by a black security guard and was caught on camera angrily uttering a racial slur in the video.
Lil wayne responded to his racist rant on twitter stating “Riley Cooper kan suck my….”. Lil Wayne’s millions of followers responded in furry because he made the situation a public massacre of Riley’s Career, showing the power of social networks.
Riley Cooper is facing fines and is excused from all Eagles team activities. Cooper leaving the eagles to “take some time to reflect on this situation” and seek mandatory counseling. Cooper also said “there are people who will have a tough time forgiving me for what I’ve done. The best thing for me, and for the team, is to step away for a period of time.”, when he explained he was leaving the Eagles.
