Dame Dash landed on craigslist.org stating “After 19 years of devoted service, I am eager to meet new people”. After news outlets were seen with Dame Dash slapping his former artists new “MCHG” project, a lot of that spread viral fueling questions in the media about the relationship between rapper Jay Z and Dame Dash.
Jay Z recently commented on the topic during an interview with New York radio station Hot 97 that their work together was epic and that he has love for his former partner.
“What we built, you can’t take that away,” Jay-Z says during the interview. “No matter what, no time or space. No matter how many years I ain’t seen him, the love is still there because what we’ve done will forever be stamped in history. We created something that’s going to go down forever. I can only have love for Damon.”
Jay-Z also spoke on a potential reunion with Dash without being provoked. “I just don’t know where we are in our life,” Jigga says. “Are we the same two young men at that time? Will we gel in that way? We were two different people. I haven’t seen him in a while. I can’t remember when was the last time.”
Its good to see Jay Z finally comment on the situation, which has had blogs and people all wondering the true story behind Jay Z and Dame Dash, who both have been relatively silent since there split. Of course it must be hard to find a top tier rapper of Jay Z’s kind, the business and pursuit of which the two parties go through to achieve that level of success, seems right they share some financial responsibility and/or constant opportunity to see Dame Dash still hold his weight in the industry. Fact is they both made the kind of history that would only seem to make a even brighter future ahead.
